In recent years, politicians like Trump and others in the United States have frequently talked about "bringing manufacturing back to America," yet they rarely discuss the severe pollution and health risks that accompany heavy industry. They toss around promises without concrete plans to address the inevitable environmental and human toll of factories. People often blame China for taking American jobs without understanding the profound damage those factories have inflicted on the health of ordinary Chinese citizens. This oversight is why I'm writing this article-to shed light on the hidden costs of industrialization.
