Thanks Neil. Seriously, these guys (mostly) have multiple private jets, superyachts, private islands and multiple properties globally. The notion that they spend substantial time in any single tax jurisdiction is laughable.

true, they probably live here and there all the time

Yo, Pete; don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Oh, wait a minute! (cuing-up fat masked men in tac gear) Step over here. (barring exit to private jet otherwise bound for New Zealand)

Agent Robespierre wants to talk to you.

Hats-off to you, and subtending tissues, too!

I haven't, but agent Robespierre is a convenient threatening foil (while alive).

Thanks for your comment.

Don't forget what happened to Robespierre. . .

It's what's always expected from corporations and government in Western societies, crony capitalism.

Successful business depends on close relationships with government in its lucrative alliance.

All billionaires should leave my country alone. Move out. If Epstein Island still exist move there. Or better yet,Theil and Elon can return to their country of origin since they steal from the American people and refuse to pay taxes. Adios.

Neil Zhu, please don't cut off comments from free subscribers. I'm a 74 year old American by birth retiree living in the Philippines. While I live comfortably I don't have the spare cash to subscribe to the substacks I enjoy. I'm not asking for access to posts you reserve for paying customers, only for the right to continue commenting on the ones I have access to. Thank you sir for your consideration

Thank you for the support, I will put more free ones out

Sorry I meant M A O not Moa !

‘ the welfare of the locals was simply not on their agenda ‘ ! That from the book, The Unknown Story MOA ‘. Reading that book I see many descriptions of ways in which Moa treated the Chinese that remind me of the ways in which the present administration treats American citizens.

Neil, I recommend your blog to others but wonder how much of your well thought out commentary of the u.s. situation is influenced by your study of Chinese history under communism ?

As bad as it is politically in the u.s. it’s nothing compared to the horrific atrocities China endured during Moa’s rule .

Technically, Mao helped Chinese people reset the entire system, but after 1949, he made some big mistakes, and all these have been studied in our history book and there are museun for great leap forward and culture revolution. A lot of rethinking about these historical events.
