I wholeheartedly agree, we fit this pattern perfectly. Leverage and act. Leverage and act. I will also say, that demonstrations and supporters are more for the people participating, than their belief it is going to change things. To gauge true solidarity, in such a large country as ours, sends a message to other demonstrators and supporters, hundreds ,even thousands, of miles away, that we are all in it together and get to work. Yes, we can become complacent. Yes, we are incredibly susceptible to all the pitfalls you detailed. But we do have more resources now, than ever before al so. You are one of them. Remaining determined, confident and positive in our fight will be tough, but considering the alternative, we will fight, remaining steadfast, and employing your 'leverage and act' tactic. I'm going to use this post, and ensure everyone reads it. It is sadly true most White people haven't had no direct experience with any of this, and our Brown and Black citizens, immigrants, and refugees know all too well. Thank you.

Thank you Teresa for reading and sharing this.

If hundreds of people embrace this message it becomes a truth. The leverage has already seen action: in the special elections: Democrats won. Each gathering of supporters, not protestors, increases month by month. That leverage is also called subliminal messaging. I trust that you'll change the narrative from complacent to: each gathering brings in more supporters. If you say our fight will be tough, the message is tough, hard. . If you say, there is more action Across the Nation, then 'more action' is the message. The media is doing a great job of calling him and his republican party on their 'shit' and it's working for the Democrats. Look for a change over in the United States of Beloved America next year. Go for the positive narrative.

Thank you for your guidance; it's welcome and very helpful. I will change it. I'm not a Democrat; I vote individuals. !00% Republicans take money from AIPAC or/and dozens of other Israel Lobby Groups & PACS. Democrats 90-95%. I think a third party should be an option. Imo, two sides of the same coin.

Minneapolis has a lot of community organization. The spread out burbs of Illinois cannot do things as easily, but we are fortunate to have a strong governor with Pritzker. We do have ICE here, though their presence is not as big or as brazen. But I realize I need to be better at knowing and being involved in my community.

This is so good. Please keep writing these.

thank you.

I'll also add, that demonstrations and supporters do matter to ICE and Trump, in the way that they believed invading Minneapolis was going to be easier than Chicago. I think its been a shock. It was chosen because it was smaller, and they are invading small cities and towns now. So I do think seeing all those thousands of protesters in sub zero temperatures, coming together, not backing down basically saying fuck off, even after all they've been through and lost, meant something. And, if not for them, then it was still a collective win for Minnesotans and supporters from across the country.

The Supporters, not protestors, are showing up All Over the USA. Lets call them Supporters instead of Protestors. Support has a positive ring to it, Protest has a negative ring to it.

Thank you for the reminder. I’m correcting it right now.

Very well stated, the Party for Socialism & Liberation (PSL) is highly organized and disciplined in their efforts to organize in making connections with the community and creating dual power structures.

Let's change the narrative. The citizens that come out in the streets are Supporters. The media like to keep the Protest word strong, it has a negative ring to it. Supporters across the country are like hundreds of thousands subliminal messages. Indvisible.com is leadership that Hundreds of Thousands of Citizens embrace. 10, 20, 30 and more Supporters, not protestors...show up on busy traffic corners, Across The Country, and project more subliminal messages. Indivisible ( Indivisible.com) leadership is smart enough to make their messages short and sweet. It's a guy wearing a shirt you could buy in a thrift store, announcing the next gathering. If all of the street corner signs and the 75 older adults showing their support can inspire 100 more people, that's a success. The subliminal messages works because more and more and more Supporters show up at the next and the next gathering. Does the oligarchy care? I'm confident saying that we have their attention. Subliminal messaging works. I am a fan of your posts. We're acting and we have leverage: in the recent special elections: Democrats won. Media outlets are doing a great job of exposing tRumps actions, and the reporting is turning citizens away from the Republicans. Good Subliminal marketing.

I agree with your thesis here 100%. An important thing for all to remember is that resistance can be and should be glamorous. If everyone is concerned about signalling or posting on social media what they've done, that makes it easier to be surveilled. Much organizing work is done most effectively underground.

The support at these gatherings increase month after month. What was a 2,000 attendance six months ago is now double. 4,000 It's not acting, this is leverage. Were making a dent. The number of Unions is increasing...that's leverage. The subliminal messaging from the increase of Supporters is working. In the recent special elections: Democrats won important races. The media is doing a fabulous job of calling Agent Orange and the republicans on their 'shit'. It's a marketing campaign for Democrats! Indivisible.com is handling the infrastructure with leadership. A guy with a shirt that could be from a thrift store, announces the next Buying Black out. No matter what the gathering is called...the citizens showing up is increasing. tRumps steady followers dropped to 25% from 30%.
