Here are two priorities you will never find in capitalist USA:

- Raise the level of social civilization.

- Improve the quality of life for the people.

With the Canadian Govt looking towards Asian trade, I’m interested in your thoughts on Canada and China relations.

Have you posted much on that?

If so, would you be so kind as to link them? I would like to read your thoughts.

I hope it works out. There's potential for considerable mutual benefit, and Canada desperately needs alternatives to the US.

I hope so, too. Canada needs to break from the sinophobic politics that was being driven by the Justin Trudeau government and next week I hope Carney makes moves towards repairing the damage and engaging in more mature and respectful diplomacy. Canada in general has to show more respect towards the Global Majority.

Capitalism is structurally unable to do this level of planning, without massive ,unprecedented government funding ,strategy and industrial planning. There's a near zero chance of this happening, especially with the corrupt morons in charge. America, we had a good run for a few decades . It's just a matter of how long it takes for our collapse.

Right, it's been said benevolent dictatorships probably get the most things accomplished because they can sidestep the BS that the US, for example, is mired in. On the other hand we can recall that absolute power corrupts, often. China has seen this in its past but seems to have emerged with central planning that works for the benefit of the people. Of course it could be just good timing----near a billion people willing to work relatively cheap, no red tape or environmental obstacles to speak of, an excellent education mindset, homogeneous society, and so on. Similar to what the US had early last century.

You are right, at certain point, a centralized government, or even a benevolent dictatorship can become a huge problem later on for the people. for China, it actually had similar issues, during 2006-2014, the corporations and some government officials are very corrupted together. When Xi became president, he hammered down lots of the corruptions, and constantly remind the public the principles of Chinese socialism, and keep remind all the CPC member, Stay true to your original aspiration.

You can think that, within the CPC leadership, there are leftwing progressive and rightwing conservative too. Xi would be considered the conservatives faction.

Most Chinese understand this too.

Yes, lots of corruption that was rooted out of the system. Also, CIA spies identified and killed. Corruption in Washington is now out in the open, and we bend the knee.

And this is not just a one time phenomena. Don’t forget that in spite of the tremendous losses due to WWII, the USSR also had extraordinary growth and eradicated extreme poverty . .. while suffering huge setbacks after the dismantling of the Soviet Union and subsequent pillaging of state assets by Western vulture capitalists.

Likewise and again, in spite of illegal US/European economic blockades, Venezuela & Cuba have managed to eradicate hunger and provide free education and healthcare to all. Cuba also has impressive 5 year plans. Imagine the incredible progress these 2 besieged countries could achieve if the yoke of US imperialism were lifted. Sad.
