Innumerable U. S. Military Actions, Wars, Coup detat, Insurrection, CIA Assassinations, Colour revolutions. Of course this is far from complete, one could never know the total depravity of America.

The republicans always start a war when they get into political trouble. Same repetitive playbook this time. Pump the electorate with jingoistic, false propaganda. Poise forces in situ, then orchestrate a fulminant event, then - bingo!

See Iraq, Panama, Grenada, Vietnam, etc.

Hammer them (brown) terrorists!

This one’s been waiting to happen. Lots of Houston oil money really pissed that Chavez nationalized their “investments”. He dies, then his corrupt toady gets the baton and arrogates the revenues to himself - nominally a Castro-inspired socialist lol. He loses an election bigtime, but forcibly retains power. Sounds like a PR bonanza for oil-fascist imperialist USA oilpatch oligarchs to exploit, right? Right.

The current world oil glut, with associated medium-term declines in crude prices may render the effort a pyrrhic victory, economically.

Halliburton & Schlumberger will need some no-bid contracts to feed and equip our heroes.

There’s always the possibility that Venezuela will win, but it’s not likely. Anyway, here it comes.

Expect lotsa recruiting in WV, AR, TX, OK, KY, TN.

The US had a similar blockade of Japan, which provoked Japan to launch an attack on the US military base on the island of Oahu in 1941. This time Venezuela can go to the UN Security Council.

valid point of view. but using war to “help” another country is not a solution. Especially when the true goal isn’t really to help the people - it’s more about oil and profit. In my video, I mentioned sending working-class people to fight for the oligarchs. War for profit is just wrong. That’s the whole point.

If a country wants to help another country, stop sanctioning them. The U.S. has been sanctioning Venezuela since the Obama era. If you really want to help a country, actually invest in it. Help them solve their problems in a civilized way.

Look at what America has done to other countries under the idea of “we’re going to help you solve your problems” by using military force. And what has that accomplished? Nothing - just death.

Translate this short explanation on “the sanctions”

•the point of singularity•'s avatar

Please do your research. That’s an extreme leftist trope and a not informed point of view. The sanctions haven’t caused the terrible situation in Venezuela. The drug, human trafficking, illegal gold mining has fed the regime, the axis of evil: Cuba, Russia, your China, Iran, the Colombian guerrilla coming in and out through our permeable borders. Those trafficked Billions certainly do not trickle down to the people. Obviously…https://www.instagram.com/p/DScw0_3DfMw/?igsh=MWw1bXRxdmcwOTRtYQ==

Putting pressure on and cutting off the illicit selling or gifting our oil to Cuba to sell to China IS a solution. When Maduro feels that the cost of staying in power is higher than leaving then the solution will kick in.

Is this also a depopulation tactic do you believe?

Neil Zhu's avatar

no , I dont think so .

I have to say that in my life of 58 years here in rural America, but I’ve always been terrified of China. That’s what they’ve ingrained in us. I see that China is so far more advanced than we are. I am beginning to feel like China was trying to protect its own people from this evil world. Knowledge is power and I am so glad my eyes are wide open.

Man, the whole Cold War mindset really did some damage there. I’m glad the internet is helping people communicate with each other and squash misunderstandings.

Absolutely! We have more in common than we have differences by far! 💙

One bit of propaganda distorts the phrase “weapons of mass destruction”, WMD.

WMD comes in three forms, Nuclear, Biological and Chemical, NBC.

Saddam Hussein had WMD. He had used chemical weapons against his Kurdish population and against Iran. Saddam WANTED people to think he was pursuing nuclear weapons, but dictators make stupid mistakes because they choose only yes-men as advisors.

CNN’s Peter Arnett stood outside a facility making WMD and called it “a baby milk factory “

WMD doesn’t include cigarettes or cocaine or any drug people use to get high.

Trump follows in the footsteps of those who passed lies about GW Bush

Truth matters.

Alastair Crooke suggests in a video with Daniel Davis (Deep Dive) that the blockade is about keeping Chinese shipments of infrastructure materials out of Venezuela and Russian military stuff out though I think the Russian stuff (air defense) is already there.

Neil Zhu's avatar

yes, but for China, there are always alternative for its energy. Althought I dont think US will start ground invasion that soon, Trump have another 3 years, he will take his time
