Luck and a rigged system. “Free will” which includes hard work are extremely minimal (though still important) in influencing quality of life outcomes. One major reason is that of survivorship bias and “the winners write the history books”, or perhaps a more modern take is the winners write the social media reels.

Well, I think you used to be like that. But because of Internet, the world has become one. The history book can be written in different perspective view now.

Please understand that public relations in the US is a hundred year old mature science/most lower income people know that the system is rigged for exploitation of the poor by the wealthy aided by the government/ note both political parties serve ruling class interests and no one left to serve the public

The problem right cause I hear in people say they know these and but my question is why no one is really trying to change the whole thing.

Just an old hippy here. We don’t discuss class because we are taught from an early age that America is a classless society. We know this is false, but O’Henry still has a grip on us. We as a people are easily distracted. Those with the wealth know this and create distractions. Bill Gates gives huge sums of money to charities, but still charges everybody every month to use his software. Trickle down economics doesn’t work but it is always portrayed as creating jobs. Basically this country runs on bullshit. Calling out this bullshit is just howling into the wind.

Not off topic at all, I always just want to focus on ordinary people’s life. I talked to few followers here from Texas, prices of everything in Walmart went up recently.
