Trump vs Soros: The Color Revolution Debate Comes Home
From Eastern Europe to Washington, the fight over power, protest, and political money
Trump’s Threat
On August 27, Donald Trump threatened to bring federal racketeering charges against George Soros, age 95, and his son, Alexander. Trump accused them of funding violent protests across the United States. He wrote that Soros and his “crazy left-wing son” should be charged under RICO laws, calling them a danger to the country.
Trump provided no evidence. The Open Society Foundations, founded by Soros and now led by Alexander, quickly denied the claim. They stated they do not support or fund violent protests.
