I love the philosophy here, but it disregards human nature. The overarching characteristic of human nature is competition, not collaboration. That requires the evolution of one's humanity on the highest level. That isn't the collective mentality of the whole of humanity. Survival takes precedence, and survival is based on competition for resources. Human beings are a flawed species, as evidenced that in thousands of years, societies have not evolved beyond a zero sum game when it comes to survival, or the perception of same. That's not to say we shouldn't keep expressing our hopes for the evolution of humanity, but it's sure not looking very good right now.
Sometimes I come across some videos online, thinking that we are not much different than the monkeys we were couple million years ago. Anyway, I think a good government should help its people to understand that taking care of its people and communities is more important than capitalism gain and technology advancement.
