While I agree with you, generally, it seems to me, though, the death knell has been ringing for the Democrats for decades. When they suited up in the same corrupt veneer of the GOP, they chose their poison.

AIPAC it's just another symptom. the reason the Democratic party has been sinking for the last 5 decades is because they have become Reagan democrats. they are corporate owned and they don't work for the people anymore. right now today they announced their equivocating between trying to work something out with the Nazis across the aisle or should they fight back harder? they don't know how to message and never have. they don't know how to fight back because maybe they're complicit. tone deaf spineless appeasers.

The [capital ‘D’] Democratic Party hasn’t published a major, position paper on anything in a half century.

Its ‘leaders’ are political opportunists who want a bigger slice of economic pie, and have betrayed workers at every opportunity.

Democratic Party aligned unions and organizations work tirelessly with management to contain, isolate and defeat strikes, impose rotten concession contracts on workers, and more. Weingarten and Fain and others opportunistic parasites collect six-figure salaries while job bloodbaths, plant shutdowns, job insecurity assail workers.

At one point, nearly all UAW execs were nailed for accepting bribes and company stock while refusing to communicate with the when contracts are membership.

Top union execs have even been given positions on Directorship positions. If your union boss is elevated to the Board of Directors, you can’t expect them to present any worker demands or to negotiate.

O’Brien [Teamsters] has switched GOP. Biden told Fain’s UAW that he wasn’t going to war ‘without you guys.’

It is no accident that union membership, traditionally solidly Democratic Party, has declined precipitously.

Opportunism led current UAW President Shawn Fein to praise Trump anti-immigrant bombast as saving ‘American’ jobs. The Democratic Party surrendered any defense of immigrants years ago.

The Party is where it is because it is the degraded spectacle that it has become. It is being written off by the working class, and I have been waiting for this since Vietnam 🇻🇳.

And all that was before Gaza. And conscience. And the refusal to fight fascism. As we all know, only democracy merits naught but the most feckless, timid and insincere defense.

Since January 28, 1828, the [Capital ‘D’] Democratic Party has embodied opportunism. Now the working masses are calculating it out of the equation. And the Party reply?

They call this ‘apathy.’

Meanwhile, the next great movement will be to the left, not the right. And the Democratic Party won’t be permitted to join for the ride.

Because ‘Opportunism.’

The next great social struggle will be between the working class and the [big] bourgeoisie. Workers are closing the petty bourgeois Democratic Party.

Party supporters will join the Trump Junta, or the revolutionary working class movement.

A final word . . .

All that was before Gaza. And conscience.
