Although Project 2025 was "written" by a conservative group, let's not kid ourselves. This is another strategy created by the billionaire class donors of both conservative AND liberal members of Congress. If we think that by electing Democrats we can twart or even slow down this strategy, we are only fooling ourselves.
Very enlightening info. I think the fascists here are running a "smash & grab" operation, like KMT did (KuoMinTang?) on our treasury, and will abandon the country and their 1000 page manifesto as soon as the check clears. I don't think they really give a **** about the rest of it, or us.
Understanding that Mao's ascendancy was forcible, at its basis, and eventually aligned with a political theory/strategy. I'm hoping that the Project2025 plan will go down smoking, and looking for differences between it and China's model, which has been extraordinarily effective, despite not appealing to me as a (delusional?) American individualist.
From an outsider’s view, it feels like America needs a shift in culture and values. Individualism has its place, but without collectivism, society becomes fragmented. In China, the government constantly reminds people of collective responsibility, and whether one agrees with the method or not, it reinforces the idea that no one survives alone.
Human nature leans toward selfishness, so it takes leadership to push back against that – to remind people they live in a shared society. Without that reminder, the culture tilts too far toward “me” and forgets about “us.”
Not asking sarcastically, but how did Mao defeat Chiang Kai Shek, and how did his successors prevail in China despite killing and starving millions of people? Was there some guiding document? I don't think Marx's economics or manifesto are entirely salient. What's your take?
During the Civil War, the KMT basically collapsed under its own weight. Corruption, failed policies, and economic chaos meant people were suffering everywhere. The CPC actually started with fewer soldiers, but because most of the rank-and-file were farmers, and the CPC spoke directly to their struggles, more and more joined. That’s how the balance flipped.
The Great Leap Forward is more complicated than people make it out to be. It wasn’t just Mao’s policies. Relations with the Soviet Union broke down, the economy was already weak, and remember that before 1949 the KMT had looted the treasury, leaving the CPC with almost nothing to work with. Those conditions made the risks and failures of the Leap even worse.
When Deng came in, he took a very pragmatic path. His approach was “whatever works for China, we’ll do it.” That became the framework of socialism with Chinese characteristics – not about rigid ideology, but about finding a workable path for the country.
I pretty much spewing whatever in my mind right now, hope you can understand what i am talking about here.
So, go backwards to a time that never truly existed. Dying gasps of empire.
'dying gasps'
As much as I wish this to be a reality, I'm just scared as to what extent a cornered animal would do when push comes to shove.
I want my country to break free from being a vassal state.
Appreciate very much your summary on this
Why do these people want to do this? Is their lust for power and riches so insane?
They want to make sure the conservative government always in power.
In a word, ‘yes.’

I am really afraid of that, with all these crypto schemes, they can do a rug pull for the entire nation.

Yeah, a few things here:
During the Civil War, the KMT basically collapsed under its own weight. Corruption, failed policies, and economic chaos meant people were suffering everywhere. The CPC actually started with fewer soldiers, but because most of the rank-and-file were farmers, and the CPC spoke directly to their struggles, more and more joined. That’s how the balance flipped.

If a non conservative president gets elected, they would be advantaged by all these changes.
