When I was a young man in America it was very common for business owners to express pride for being able to provide their employees a good living. That seems to be extinct.

But there wasn't as much wealth stratification back then, so all types of people were mixed into neighborhoods. We knew and understood one another.

Now the dynamic is isolation. Each income class has its own neighborhood. Not good.

We need to use a different economic model. From where I sit a blend of 65% capitalism and 35% (or so) of some form of stong social policy keeps things working for everyone.

The North Field Oil is a good example. A national resource is divided up for the entire population yet capitalism there is quite healthy.

Yes since about 1789! The Constitution was written for rich white men. Period.

That has always been the problem. The intensity of power dynamics ebb and flow but the intent of the Constitution has always pitted rich white men against everyone else. They usually win but the success of unions for so many years proved that the system can work.

Right now it sucks. Salvation will take quite a while since the very rich were allowed to buy the government.

I share your analysis of, and revulsion for amoral capitalist predation. Individuals parasitize the masses, until they don’t.
