Might want to add that US military arms manufacturering is financially like the US healthcare system - overpriced because of high profit margins and lots of middlemen. Spending more on the military in the US just means more profit for manufacturers, not necessarily more stuff.
The Iran war has accelerated and expanded the "America First" movement among rural white Americans for economic reform and against war, represented by Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Taylor Greene. As the war's cost in lives and material, the U.S. military losses and global decline, and Israel's domination of Trump become clearer, the movement could turn into active resistance. If urban leftist antiwar activists reach out to America Firsters, Americans could breach the divide-and-conquer, two-party fraudulent liberal-conservative division and move toward nationwide class struggle.
